Running an event such as BUCS Modern Pentathlon and Biathlon requires a huge amount of effort and it done entirely by volunteers. Institutions bringing more than 10 athletes need to supply one volunteer for every 10 athletes competing. This is to ensure that there are sufficient helpers to run the event.
